If you work in an environment where you have responsibility for the welfare of infants and children, then having the required paediatric first aid skills is absolutely vital to your role. Should the worst ever happen, it’s essential you know what to do in a safe and effective manner.

The Highfield Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been written for learners working or preparing to work in such a childcare role, and is based on Highfield’s many years of experience in developing high quality first-aid courses and resources.

The content of the qualification is regarded by the Early Years Foundation Stage as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health of infants and children who are within your care.

The qualification is valid for 3 years, after which it will need to be retaken. It is also recommended that learners refresh their knowledge annually.
